Conformation is the competition of purebred dogs of one breed competing against each other, and being compared against a breed standard.

CONFORMATION RUN THRUS

Tuesday​ – Conformation Run-Thrus  > 6:30-7:30 pm  No Session on the 4th Tuesday of the Month. (Medina Kennel Club general meeting)!

Run-thrus are $5 per handler, per half-hour session (two sessions 6:30-7 and 7-7:30); Cash, Correct Change please

You don’t have to be a member to participate.

We encourage both beginner and experienced handlers and their dogs to join us. These run-thrus give you an opportunity to work with your dogs in a setting that resembles what you will be doing in competition. Please be sure to bring an appropriate collar and lead (show lead) as well as training treats and/or a favorite soft toy. If you are joining us for the first time, please also bring proof our your dog’s vaccinations, including rabies.

 
 
OBEDIENCE RING TIME AND RUN THRUS
NEW YEAR, NEW GOALS, NEW DATES Are you looking for an additional place to practice
your obedience training? Do you train by yourself and need more distractions and proofing?
Medina Kennel Club is now available for Obedience Ring Time. Three rings are available with
Open utility equipment, courteous sharing of the rings with other training teams, and dogs must
be able to interact with others. No private lessons.
 
 
Obedience Ring Time Dates:
January:
10th, 10 to 12 pm
17th, 10 to 12 pm
 
February:
7th, 10 to 12 pm
21st, 10 to 12 pm
 

*The last sign-up will be taken 30 minutes before closing
*Ring Time cost is $10.00 per person/dog  *Run Thrus and Ring Time payments will be cash or check at that time.

You don’t have to be a member to participate.

 

********NEW OBEDIENCE RUN THRU HOURS********
Obedience Run Thrus are the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month.
The 1st Wednesday is 6-8 pm. 3rd. Wednesday will be 5-7 pm.
$5.00 per run

Obedience Run Thru Dates:

January:
15th, 5 to 7 pm
29th, 5 to 7 pm
Note the change to schedule since the 1st is New Year’s Day

February:
5th, 6 to 8 pm
19th, 5 to 7 pm
The last sign-up will be taken 30 minutes before closing
 

Rally

No Rally Run thrus at this time.

Whether you’re preparing to compete or enjoy spending time with your dog, running practice rally courses is a great way to hone your skills and identify areas needing more work. In a rally obedience run-through, we will set up a course from a competition for you to try. Run it like a competition, or bring your treats and toys to treat it like a fun match – either way, you and your dog will gain valuable practice.

 

Agility

Agility Run-thrus for the winter months will be on Thursdays every week at 11 am at least thru March.
 
Evening times will be weather dependent at 6:30 (no run thrus the 4th Thursday evening of the month)
Thursday 6:30 pm 1st-3rd Weeks only through March
